We are delighted
the Tuesday Evening Mixed Competition & Social Nights have
been such a great success and is no finished for 2011.

Tuesday 23/08 saw the end of our
9 hole mixed competition for 2011, How quickly the summer passes!
Most evengings saw very good attendances
and our social nights afterwards were most enjoyable. A great
night was had on the 14th June when some of the one armed world
championship contendors joined in our 9 hole competition and all
enjoyed the music (Gerry Tully) and craic. On 19th July, we had
a talk on "Know your Wine" hosted by Wines Direct (Paddy
Keogh) which was great success. On Aug. 2nd Sandro Graca gave
us a talk on acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine. He
enlightened us on how to solve some of our aches & pains and
gave our Captain a great massage. On Aug. 16th we had a talk on
growing organically hosted by Niamh Mulligan. Niamh covered a
wide range of topics, she was so full of knowledge we will have
to invite her back again. On the night she had on display a host
of gardening books and she generously gave us a gardening spade
to raffle. This was won by Margaret Darcy who is a very keen gardener
( well done Margaret). Our final night 23rd August, was a fun
night with party atmosphere and party food. Austin and Ger Geoghegan
played the guitar and sang and we all joined in having a great
night.
We would also like to thank Jimmy,
our chef, for providing a very varied 5 euro menu on our social
nights which was much appreciated.
