Lady Captains Welcome
I
am truly honoured and delighted to accept the role of Lady Captain
for 2012. I will give it full commitment and carry out my duties
to the best of my ability as did our previous Lady Captains.
I have a wonderful team of officers and committee and I would
like to thank them for their dedication and ongoing support. They
are giving so much of their time voluntarily to enhance and develop
our club for all our benefit. Each committee member has been given
a specific role and has taken it on with great enthusiasm. They
have also committed to be Team Managers of our Inter Club Teams
and have obtained very knowledgeable lady members to assist them.
I encourage all you ladies to enter teams and represent our club
as most of the games will be held at weekends. Dates will be confirmed
in due course. We are privileged to be hosting the inter-club
teams on Sunday 27th May, the ILGU Leinster Senior Women’s
championship Wednesday 11th July and the ILGU Miele All Ireland
Fourball Match play Monday 3rd September.
I
would most sincerely like to thank our sponsors for 2012. Your
generosity, support & commitment to our Club is greatly appreciated
in these trying times. I appeal to all members to support our
Sponsors, whose names are displayed on our Website, in our club
house, and in our fixtures book.
Our life blood is our youth, and we need to nurture them so that
the future of our club is secure. I encourage you to involve your
children in our Junior Club. The Junior Liaison Officer, Paddy
Kelly, has a great team of dedicated leaders to guide and direct
our juveniles together with our Golf Professional Robin Machin.
Extra Adult/Juvenile competitions will be held during the summer
months.
I
encourage each member to promote membership of our club. I am
delighted to welcome our new ladies members and I hope to play
golf with you during the year. We have a busy golfing year ahead
with interesting social events planned.
I wish President Noeleen, Captain Frank, Vice Captains Trudi and
Denys every success in the year ahead. To our outgoing Captains,
Alice and Gerry, best wishes and good health to enjoy your golf.
I look forward to meeting you all at our various events and thank
you most sincerely for your good wishes.
